Syphilis cases have gone up in Westman.
Medical Officer of Health for PMH Dr. Jazz Atwal says the recent increase comes as a surprise, saying "Syphilis was almost non-existent a number of years ago in Manitoba."
Dr. Atwal reminds people who are sexually active to always practice safe sex.
