Pioneers of past will be recognized this weekend in Dauphin.
The Dauphin Pioneer's Association will be hosting its annual picnic tomorrow to celebrate 100 years as a society.

Treasure of the Dauphin Pioneer Association, Dean Durston says this years celebration hits home personally for him. He said, "Personally, I'm fourth generation from the earliest pioneer and life has changed because we have it so easy now... when they came there were no ditches, no roads, everything was just mother nature."

Durston added, the inclusion of roads, ditches and drainage are essential and have become a part of Dauphin since the earliest days of pioneer settlement.

The picnic begins at 4 pm tomorrow afternoon located at Fort Dauphin Museum.
