Jodi Allard is the new Nurse Practitioner at the Winnipegosis Medical Clinic.
Allard says she is enjoying her time there.
"It's a lovely community, i'm staying really busy. They haven't had any health care provider here for about a year and a half I believe, so business is picking up and i'm booked up a week or two in advance right now."
Prairie Mountain Health announced last month that they were getting three NP's in three different locations, Ste. Rose, Winniepgosis and Melita.
Allard says she has been keeping very busy and appreciates the support.
"People are very thankful. I think that if someone is here they don't have to travel as far anymore to go and see a health care provider. You know, some of the people in the community it's difficult for them to travel so I think it's very helpful for someone to be here."
Everyone is welcome to come out for a Meet and Greet with Allard on Friday, July 8th from 9:30am to 11am at the Clinic in Winnipegosis.
Muffins and coffee will be served.
