After finding out that her very close friends son has been diagnosed with a very rare cancer, this woman has spearheaded a fundraiser to help with medical expenses.
Pamela Fehr from Winnipegosis, came up with an idea to have a 50/50 benefit fundraiser for Austen Semchyshyn.
Fehr says the fundraiser will take place during chase the ace at the Mossy River Inn.
"Fifty per cent will go towards Austen Semchyshyn, and fifty per cent will go to whomever wins the 50/50. We're also doing money donations, which are also greatly accepted. The donations will be a hundred per cent going towards his families medical bill.
The event starts at 6 and ends at 9 and tickets for the 50/50 will be 3 for $5.
