There's plenty of groups looking to get in on Gilbert Plains Community Fund grants.
The fund held its 8th annual dinner and fundraising event on Saturday, where it was said fund requests for this year exceeded $35,000 dollars.
The community fund is giving out $6,250 in grants this year.
Grant money comes from the interest the community fund accrues.
This year's recipients are:
Gilbert Plains Golf & Country Club - $500
Gilbert Plains Legion - $500
Gilbert Plains Elementary School - $250
Centennial Park - $250
Gilbert Plains Homecoming 2016 - $1,000
Veselka Dancers - $550
Gilbert Plains/Grandview Agricultural Society - $500
Daily Discoveries, Inc. - $1,000
Gilbert Plains Fitness Centre Cooperative Inc. - $500
Reading with Kinders - GP Community Resource Council - $500
Gilbert Plains Personal Care Home - $700
