About 90 Dauphin students are not only powering up their minds today, but their bodies as well!

Today, they're taking part in a workshop on physical literacy, which aims to show them how their body moves, and how to keep themselves in top physical form as they go through life.

Jessica Lacasae Health Promotion Coordinator Prairie Mountain Health says, once learned, physical literacy will stick with you throughout your life.

"You have them through your lifespan and then you'll have better health outcomes because you're able to move, you're less likely to get injured and just have a better quality of life."

Lacasae hopes this will just be the first of many physical literacy workshops.
