The Dauphin division of Meals on Wheels is looking to get more volunteers to help run the service.
Ruth Sutherland, the manager of nutrition services at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre which looks after the program, says the main thing they need is more drivers to deliver the meals.
"We would like to have five drivers per day, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, but sometimes when the groups are unable to provide five, they're able to do it with four, but five is what we're looking for."
Sutherland says people interested in volunteering to be a driver can contact her at (204) 638-2153.
"We keep a volunteer Meals On Wheels drivers list going all the time, so we can add your name to it at any point in time. Sometimes some of the groups are looking for one driver to help them out on a certain day, and so we can give them the list of drivers so that they can help them out."
Sutherland says they currently have upwards of 30 people in the area who use the Meals on Wheels service.
