Full-Length Interview

Radio Version

Having a pet at home can be a wonderful contribution to our health & wellbeing — both emotionally and physically.

Today we’ll discuss those health benefits of pet ownership with the President of the Parkland Humane Society, Denise Penrose. We’ll also learn about some very important things to consider before choosing a pet — and deciding if welcoming pet into your home is the right move for you.

Denise urges everyone to spay or neuter their pets, and says the overpopulation of animals is a serious issue.

For more information about adopting a pet, you can contact the Parkland Humane Society at (204) 638-6966 or visit their website. http://www.parklandhumanesociety.com/

The Manitoba government has also provided more information on responsible pet ownership.
