MR MIKES SteakhouseCasual challenged Kimmel to drink a Caesar on Canada Day, and got the public involved, with a campaign that saw more than 30,000 online postcards directed to the late night talk show host.

Robin Chakrabarti, owner of the company behind the MR MIKES franchise, says Kimmel reached out through his producer and said he'd give it a try.

"He was doing it purely out of the goodness of his heart. He didn't do it for any financial upside or anything, he just did it because he thought our campaign was funny. We ended up going down and getting to watch the show being filmed, waiting for him; we were backstage in what they call the Green Room... and they took us to his private bar."

MR MIKES Caesar Challenge was a six week campaign presented as a way to show off another Canadian invention to our neighbours to the south.

Chakrabarti gave a thanks to the franchisees and guests here in Dauphin, crediting guest participation for getting Kimmel's attention.
