Dale Murray is a champion at the Clear Lake Golf Course.
The Gilbert Plains native capped off an incredible week by winning the Master's championship on Saturday afternoon. He beat Murray Lindenberg, two up. Dale outlasted Jack McDiarmid in his semifinal match.
Before that, he eliminated Rod Klassen from championship contention in the quarterfinals.
Dale was the second ranked player heading into the match play portion of the event. He shot rounds of 77 and 74 in his qualifying rounds.
Elsewhere, Ron Cornell of the Clear Lake Golf Course won a title on Saturday. He won the men's first flight consolation bracket as the seventh seed. John Tomlinson won the fifth flight consolation bracket.
