The community of Inglis is home to one of the last rows of heritage elevators in Canada.

Saturday night, a special fundraising comedy night will be held at Asessippi Ski Hill to raise funds towards the upkeep of those elevators.

Big Daddy Jazz, who once lived in the area and still has family there, will be the featured act, and he hopes to see you there as well.

"Come on out and support it, because it takes $90,000 to fix one of these elevators.  And if we don't fix them, they are going to disappear.  And it is sad that part of our heritage is disappearing.  And I have a great love for Inglis because it is keeping history alive."

Cocktails start at 5, dinner at 6, with the comedy show beginning at 8.

Tickets are $80 each and are available by calling or texting 204-773-6447.
