After testing found some fluctuating line pressure, the Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman has issued a boil water advisory for users of their water system.
Residents are advised to bring any water used for consumption to a rolling boil for at least 1 minute. That's any water for drinking or ice making, brushing teeth, and preparing food or beverages.
Other household tasks, like washing dishes and laundry, don't require water to be boiled.
The municipality says it is just a precaution, as any depressurization of the water system can compromise safety.
