Getting people more physically active is one of the main goals of the Race RMNP series through the Rotary Club of Dauphin.
But it has also been a great fundraiser for active living activities in Dauphin and surrounding area, according to Rotarian Luke Love.
"well over $400,000 that has been raised by these active living over their history. We have mentioned Northgate, but in addition to that, we have been able to do donations to Maamawi Park, Manitoba Summer Games, various playgrounds, the skatepark, and we sponsor through Rotay the free walking at Credit Union Place through the winter months."
Around 1,000 people combined took part n the six Race RMNP events over the past year.
Love says they have a great working relationship with Parks Canada and Riding Mountain national Park in order to hold these events every year.
