The Royal Canadian Legion's 2026 Poppy Campaign kicks off today, and runs until Remembrance Day.
Poppies are available to anyone who wants to wear one. To find out where you can get a poppy, contact your local Legion branch. Volunteers often have Poppy Boxes at local businesses during the campaign.
Donations to the Legion Poppy Fund helps them provide financial assistance and support to Canadian Armed Forces and RCMP veterans, with things like housing and care facilities, educational bursaries for children, and support with accessibility modifications.
The Poppy has been a national symbol of Remembrance since 1921, when it was officially adopted.
The Legion also encourages Canadians to find out where their local Remembrance Day ceremony is, and to make sure to attend.
