Jon Hamm, Katy Perry, and Slash from Guns N Roses are among the celebrities that have donated autographed bowls for this year's Empty Bowls online auction in support of Harvest Manitoba.
The online auction is underway through the Harvest Manitoba website, with the deadline to place a bid being 7 pm on Saturday night.
President and CEO Vince Barletta says the proceeds from this event helps them support food banks and food literacy programs in approximately 50 Manitoba communities, including several in the Parkland.
"Er support food banks in Swan River and Ste Rose, and other areas of the Parkland, also south of the park in Erickson and Minnedosa. Brandon is also a big hub. for us, as well as points up north. We serve in total 50 communities around Manitoba, outside of the city of Winnipeg."
Baretta adds the bowls represent the close to 10,000 Manitobans that rely on Food Banks to be able to eat.
