An incident involving a machete at a Dauphin home has led to the arrest of a city resident.
RCMP were notified of a suspect being in another person's home, brandishing a machete.
They responded to the home, only to find that the suspect had abandoned the premises, but had left the weapon behind.
After seizing the machete, police continued to investigate, and eventually located and arrested the suspect.
The 39-year-old man remains in custody, and is charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, as well as two counts of failing to comply with court orders.
