Around 12:15 PM on September 18th, Dauphin RCMP learned of an assault that happened 3 days earlier, on the 500-block of Main Street North.
They learned a 31 year old male was walking home after work, when he was approached and punched unconscious. When he came to, several personal items, including his cellphone, wallet, and some cash, were taken. The victim went to the hospital the following morning for treatment.
After an incident outside a residence on 2nd Avenue Northeast, RCMP identified a suspect, who had already been facing weapons and mischief charges. He was re-arrested, and charged with robbery. He was remanded into custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
