Emergency Department services will reopen in Dauphin on Monday, September 7.

They'll reopen in the existing ER space at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre. Teams continue around-the-clock work to ensure every system - from ventilation and power to patient care spaces - is ready to support the community of Dauphin and surrounding areas safely.

"It's a huge amount of work to get the electrical, diagnostics, and treatment spaces so that if you show up 'God forbid,' you have an emergency, and need that healthcare," said Premier Wab Kinew. "You show up and you're going to get your vitals taken by a nurse, assessed by a physician, and they'll be able to do what is needed to take care of you."

While announcing this, Prairie Mountain Health also said the Emergency Department at the Roblin Health Centre will be closed all of September. The closure is due to staff shortages, but PMH says this is subject to change.

If you require emergency department services in Roblin this month, call the Roblin Health Centre at 204-937-2142 to determine the nearest open ED. You can also call 911.
