The Town of Swan River is giving residents another small but impactful support to help with recovery from recent severe flooding.
The Essential Appliance Assistance Program is designed to help eligible homeowners replace essential appliances that were damage or destroyed, including hot water tanks, furnaces, clothes washers and dryers, freezers and refrigerators, and electrical panels.
Homeowners can receive up to $500 per property under this program. Applicants must own and occupy the home as their primary resident to apply, and must have experienced flood damage during the flood event earlier this summer. Funding for the program is limited, and will be prioritized on criteria including low-income households, seniors, and families with dependent children.
