The Watson Art Centre has long been one of the Parkland's most known centres for the arts. On September 15th, they'll be holding an open house, to both showcase the work they do with their partners, and to show those who haven't been to the Watson before what they're all about.
Cam Bennet, Watson Art Centre Chair, said it's something they haven't done before, but are looking forward to already.
"For people that have maybe never been in the building, maybe new to town or what have you, just kind of wondering what it's all about, free event, just come on in and check out the Watson and see what's going on. That's September 15th, I think that one starts at 5 o'clock...this is something new that we're going to try on September 15th...all our partner groups are gonna be there just kind of showcasing what they've got to offer," said Bennet.
Some of the partner groups being showcased include the Dauphin Art Group, Theatre Amisk, and Smalltown Art & Wellness Studio, among others. They'll also feature information on a variety of topics the Watson has a hand in, including Dauphin's Culture Days, workshops, and volunteering.
