A 14-year-old faces a charge of aggravated assault after a stabbing on the Sapotaweyak Cree Nation.
On Saturday at 10:50 a.m., Swan River RCMP responded to a home on the Nation. A 19-year-old female had been stabbed multiple times. The victim had been at a different home overnight and woke up to realize she had been stabbed while she slept. She ran outside for help and a passerby drive her home. Her family members then called for help.
She was transported to the hospital in Brandon for treatment. Officers then arrested the youth.
