As of today, the federal government's fuel excise tax has been cut, saving Canadians 10¢/litre on regular gasoline, and 4¢/litre on both diesel and aviation fuels.

According to Statistics Canada, the average gas price in March in Canada was $1.64/litre, with the Manitoba average being $1.55/litre.

The federal fuel excise tax cut is expected to cost the government $2.4 billion. Over the next month, the Manitoba government will decide if it will cut the provincial fuel tax.
