Canada's National Ukrainian Festival is just over a week away, and preparations are falling into place for the unofficial kick off to that event.
The annual Parkland Chamber of Commerce Street Fair takes place on July 31st along 1st Avenue Northwest.
Chamber Interim Executive Director Carissa Caruk-Ganchar says it will once again be a very busy day.
"We have over 50 vendors already registered for this year, so we are sold out, which was fantastic. We have a mix of makers, merchants, food vendors and community organizations that will be set up throughout the day. We kick things off with Fort Dauphin Museum hosting a pancake breakfast at 7am, The McDonalds Kids Zone will run from 9 until 5. And a new piece that we are adding for that area specifically this year is the Watson Art Centre is hosting a youth open mic session that begins at 11 am."
The lineup of entertainment for the day has been finalized and will be announced on social media in the coming days.
Caruk-Ganchar says they still need a few volunteers to help out that day.
