It was a battle, but a late goal propelled the Winnipeg Blues, as the Dauphin Kings capped off their two-game road trip with a 6-5 loss.

The Kings opened up the scoring 10:20 into the game, as Danny Pion scored his second goal as a King to take a 1-0 lead, which was followed by Thomas Hansell at the 11:57 mark as the Kings opened up a 2-0 lead. The Kings fired back with two goals of their own as the game was tied after 20.

The lone goal in the second was Jacob Karran, who scored his second of the season.

Wilson Northey increased the Kings lead to 4-2, 3:37 into the third, but the Blues came right back and cut the deficit in half. Danny Pion scored his second goal of the game at 4:20 of the third to increase the Kings lead to 5-3.

From there, the Blues took over, scoring three straight goals, including the game winner with just 34 seconds left.
