RM of Dauphin Still Undecided on Phase Two Water Pipeline Location
The RM of Dauphin is still looking for responses on where they should head with phase two of their water pipeline project, and they`re hoping to avoid a big mailout.
Reeve Dennis Forbes says you can fill out surveys electronically, or you can go to the RM office.
"Those forms are available on our website, it's quite easy to do in that regard, or come to the office. It would prevent us from having to go to the expense of mailing out these request forms."
Forbes says wherever they get the biggest response from, that`s where the water line will go.

Berens River Chief Wants to Know Road Will Be Built
The chief of the Berens River First Nation is raising concern over the Manitoba government's decision to hand out termination notices to all 80 employees of the East Side Road Authority.
Chief Hartley Everett says he and other indigenous leaders want assurances from the Conservative government that an all-weather road on the east side of Lake Winnipeg will go ahead.
He says they also want to know that local residents will be hired to help build that road.
The government announced in May that it intended to dissolve the East Side Road Authority and roll it into the Infrastructure Department.

Girl Chases Dog, Different Dog Finds Her
The mother of a four-year-old girl who went missing near her home in the Rural Municipality of La Broquerie says she is grateful to have her child back alive and safe.
Elvira Harthi says her daughter Renia slipped out of the house recently followed the family dog into the woods behind her home.
Steinbach RCMP canine unit member Constable Garfield Henderson and his dog, Enzo, were called in and found the little girl one kilometre from her home.
Henderson says Enzo came right up to the little girl and she gave him a big pet on the head, then jumped into the officer's arms.

Potential Lead in Water Scam in Brandon and Winnipeg
A pair of men may be going door-to-door attempting to scam Manitoba residents by claiming they have lead in their water.
The two men have reportedly been active in Brandon and Winnipeg.
One Brandon resident reported to police that the men came to his house and offered to test his water for lead and then install a water filtration system.
Police say they dropped tablets in a sample of the man's water, which caused the water to turn black, which they then said indicated the presence of lead.
The resident didn't buy the water system and reported the incident to the engineering department and police.
Police say the men were wearing golf shirts with a logo that read "Secure Homes'' and drove a Chevrolet Impala with Alberta licence plates.

Winnipeg Jets Fan Icon Passes Away
A veteran and beloved Winnipeg Jets fan has died at the age of 98.
Len (Kroppy) Kropioski, known for has enthusiastic salute during the national anthem, passed away Tuesday afternoon.
The Facebook page Fans of the Winnipeg Jets says Kroppy went to every game he could, driving from Kenora to get there.
