The band announced yesterday that lead singer Gord Downie had been diagnosed with incurable brain cancer in December and they said a tour feels like the right thing to do.

 

The tour will begin July 22 in Victoria and end in the Hip's hometown of Kingston, Ontario August 20.

 

They will play Winnipeg August 5th. Tickets go on sale next Friday.
