Jose Mekish-Lacquette is in a very good spot at Golf Manitoba's junior championships at the Selkirk Golf & Country Club.
After suffering a double bogey on the second hole, Lacquette had seven straight par as he posted a 2 over, 37 on the front. He also opened with a par.
One birdie and one bogey on the back saw Lacquette post an even par, 35 on the back as he ended the day with a 72, a score that has him in a tie for fourth place.

Eric Prokopowich was 7 over while Hayden Delaloye fired a 9 over, 79.
Thomas Scott and Jackson Delaurier both shot 80s to sit 12 strokes back of the lead.
