The Grand Plains Novice Hawks #2 won a consolation title over the weekend.

Playing in a tournament in Virden, the team won three of their four games to win the A-Side Consolation Championship. That means they finished in third place out of 14 teams.

In their first game, they beat Oak Lake, 17-6. They would follow that up with another solid win against Virden, 10-5.

Playing against Virden #2 in their semi-final, Grand Plains fell short in a great game, 13-10. They would respond in their next game by beating Carlyle, 14-9.

"It felt great to win. I'm very proud of these kids and have been all year," said Steegan Stoski, Head Coach. "They work really hard to win as much as they do. It's a great group of kids and parents."
