Baron Thompson and Brendan Arnold scored two goals each as the Dauphin Kings erupted offensively in their first win of the season.

In the back end of a home-and-home against Swan Valley, Dauphin put up six goals in a 6-4 win.

Unlike Friday night, the Stamps opened the scoring when Nathan Carl scored 11:50 into the first.

From there, Dauphin caught fire. Just 4:59 later, Baron Thompson scored his first MJHL regular season goal to tie it up as the game was tied after 20.

In the second, Dauphin was great on the powerplay. Carter Sawchuk scored early and Thompson scored his second of the game, late in the frame to give them a 3-1 lead after 40.

The third brought more goals for Dauphin. Within the first 10:18 of the period, Nakodan Greyeyes and Brendan Arnold made it 5-1.

Tommy Cardinal scored his first of the game while Carl added his second on the powerplay after that to trim the deficit to 5-3.

Already leading by two, Arnold added an empty netter late to solidify a 6-4 win for Dauphin.

They’re back at it on Tuesday in Waywayseecappo.
