A Parkland professional hockey player who's making his way in the NHL is heading to the Gilbert Plains Country Club.

Micheal Ferland is set to tee it up at this year's Grand Plains Celebrity Classic on July 27th. The Swan River native played this past season with Carolina.

He was solid with them as he put up 40 points. He's now a Vancouver Canuck after he signed a four-year, 14-million dollar deal with them.

With today's announcement, the confirmed "Celebrities" are Ryan Pulock, Colby Robak and Jayce Hawryluk.

Stay tuned on Wednesday to find out who's next. You can also signup for the tournament by calling the pro shop at 548-3030. It's $125 per player/$500 per team.
