District Weed Control Officer for the R-M of Dauphin and Lakeshore Dave Perih confirmed to CKDM on Friday that producers will now have until the end of the day Saturday to drop off any collected waste at Sammy's Farm Supplies.
Perih acknowledges it's been a slow week with the spring-drop off so far because many farmers are busy with calving, so they wanted to give local producers an extra day to get their recyclables in.
Producers not able to make it in this week can take advantage of the fall drop-off which is currently scheduled for October.
Recycling bags will be available all season long from Sammy's and Brendonn Holdings.
