A Dauphin resident who says someone took items from his house this morning is warning other people in the area.
Josh McQuarrie says someone reached through an open window at his home around 1:20 this morning.
"I heard kind of like a clinking of keys and I heard my dog like growling really low so I got up out of bed and walked down my hall, and seen someone with their arm past the elbow reaching through the screen."
McQuarrie says he screamed at the person, who slipped and scrambled away, dropping some of what they had taken and other items.
Constable Rob Tuff with Dauphin RCMP has confirmed a break and enter at a residence on Dunfield  Avenue.
