4-H members across the province will be out collecting garbage along Manitoba highways and roadways on Saturday.
The annual 4-H Manitoba Highway clean-up event is a community service event that improves the environment.
All 4-H participants will be wearing a safety vest, and areas being cleaned will be marked with safety signs.
Motorists are reminded to be aware of the added foot traffic alongside highways and roads, slow down, and keep a safe distance between their vehicles and any traffic barriers, trucks, equipment, and volunteers.
In case of rain, the alternate date for the cleanup campaign is June 14.
