After months of negotiations, Brandon Airport will be running its first set of direct flights to Toronto partnered with WestJet.

 

Director of Economic Development for the City of Brandon, Sandy Trudel feels the initiative will be successful if the demand for tickets continues to rise. She said, "Everybody demonstrated the need for the flight based on the booking of sales... ultimately what we need to see from this Toronto route, is we need to see strong ticket sales."

 

As of now the flights are being booked on a summer schedule until September fifth.
