Dauphin fans were finally able to breathe at the end of the third period after a bizarre 60 minutes of hockey between the Clippers and Major Pratt Trojans. The Clippers won 7-5 and solidified their position in the playoffs with the victory.

The Clippers scored 5 consecutive goals to give themselves a comfortable lead, but Major Pratt showed a lot of fight in a comeback attempt including a short handed marker when Dauphin had a two man advantage in the last minute of the second period. They scored again 25 second into the third to make it 6-4, but that's as close as the Clippers Parkland rival would get.

The Clippers host the Boissevain Broncos in their regular season finale Saturday at 4:00. Dauphin can still improve their position in the standings finishing as high as 6th.

A Parkland goaltender is MJHL's newest player of the week.

Grandview's own Brett Evans was recognized by the league this week. The 18-year-old net minder won in back-to-back games helping to give the Stamps some cushion in the playoff race. Evans posted a 2.00 goals-against-average, and a .950 save percentage.

Tyson Beyak of the Winnipegosis Curling Club and his team of Osten Sahulka, Garret Benson, and Eric Preston have qualified in men's play.

In women's play, two Dauphin teams, both skipped by Jensens will make appearances. Hanne Jensen and her team of Lauryn Kuzak, Sara Kohan, and Gracey Gulak, and Emma Jensen, and her team of Jaycee Terrick, Kaitlyn Szewczyk, and Kylie Talbot both qualified.
