The Dauphin Kings have acquired a new goalie.
Duncan McGovern, a 16-year-old net minder from Winnipeg joins the Kings from the WHL's fourth place Medicine Hat Tigers.
McGovern has posted a 2 and 4 record with the Tigers this season with a 4.06 goals-against-average and a .858 save percentage.
The former Central Plains Capital had 24 starts in the Manitoba Midget Hockey League last season. He posted a 12-10 record with a 2.45 goals against average and a .919 save percentage.
In an additional 5 playoff starts with the Caps he went 2-3 with a 2.10 GAA and a 9.25 SV %.
The Kings are back in action tomorrow when they travel to Winkler.

The MJHL's OCN Blizzard will hold a 'Save the OCN Blizzard' rally at the Gordon Lathlin Memorial Centre Thursday, January 5th at 7:00pm.
The hockey club is looking for letters of support from alumni, the community, and fans to help keep the team alive after the Opaskwayak Cree Nation announced last week they would cease the club's operations at the end of this season.
Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP to the event.
