The Dauphin Kings were once again the losing party in the extra period in Steinbach on back-to-back nights. 

The Pistons scored the game winner on a 3-on-1 in overtime during Pink in the Rink night in Steinbach. 

Brandon Holtby had his second strong outing in as many nights for the Kings, stopping 38 of 41 shots. 

Riese Gaber scored his first of the season to open the scoring. The goal he was awarded on Tuesday in Waywayseecappo was actually scored by #13 Graeme Hore. 

Defenseman Dawson Bacon scored his first goal as a Dauphin King. 

Steinbach got the tie to force overtime when Piston player Carter Chorney hit a Kings player from behind, and three Kings came to their teammate's defense. Four Pistons resumed play and Troy Williams scored to tie. 

While the Kings main opponent was wearing pink on Saturday, perhaps their biggest opponents were wearing black and white stripes. 

The Kings are next in action October 28th in Winkler, and October 29th in Selkirk before returning home to play the Winkler Flyers November 4th.

The MJHL's top team is still undefeated, though the Kings pushed them even closer to the edge than they did last Saturday. Ultimately Steinbach came out on top 3-2.

Brendan Arnold opened the scoring for the Kings at 8:58 on the power play receiving a pass from Gilbert Plains' Riese Gaber and tapping the puck by Pistons goaltender Roman Bengert, the goal was Arnold's first in the MJHL.

Steinbach answered back on the power play in the first period when Mackenzie Graham set up his brother Declan at 17:04 for the tie. It was the longest time Steinbach has trailed all year. 

There was no scoring in the second period and that was thanks to Kings goaltender Brandon Holtby who had at least four highlight reel saves in the frame to keep the game knotted at 1.

In the third period Kyle Oleksiuk found the back of the net, diving at a loose puck for his fifth goal of the season and restore the Kings lead. 

Oleksiuk was given hist fourth stick penalty of the game, and Darby Gula equalized for the Pistons on the power play with 1:32 left in the third, forcing overtime. 

Mackenzie Graham kept the Pistons undefeated title in tact scoring just 0:18 seconds into overtime on a play that the Kings are adamant was offside. 

The Kings are now 2-9-1 on the season, but have a chance at another two points against Steinbach Saturday night. Tune in at 7:20 for the Parkland Source for Sports pregame show with CKDM Sports Director Dane Nichol.
