The Parkland Gators have returned from the St. Jame's Seals' Swim Meet over the weekend.
The Gators were amoung 425 swimmers from across Manitoba and Kenora, ON competing at the event.
The Gators extend a congratulations to Ava Paziuk and Emyrsen Carefoot for swimming their first 'A' times.

The Dauphin Kings will no longer be holding a practice with the Winnipegosis Tigers midget hockey team this evening.
Weather and the poor road conditions are the reason for the cancellation. No makeup date has been announced.

A tough first period saw the Kings 5 game point streak come to an end. The Kings surrendered 3 goals in the first frame and trailed 3-1 heading into the first intermission.
Daniel Chartrand scored on the power play in the first for the Kings. Riley Shamray fired a shot wide of the net from the point, the puck landed on Chartrand's stick off the end boards for the easy tap in.
After a chippy first period the second was comparatively tame and saw no scoring until the last minute when the Steelers increased their lead to 4-1 with 47.6 seconds left on the clock.
In the third period Grady Hobbs got a 10,000lb. gorilla off his back, finally scoring his first goal for the Kings. Hobbs has arguably been one of the Kings hardest working forwards this season, never taking a shift off, and was finally rewarded Saturday. His shot from below the faceoff circle beat Steelers goaltender Hayden Dola five hole to bring the Kings within two.
The Steelers scored again before the end of the game, restoring their three goal lead.
The Kings now shift their focus to the confines of Credit Union Place as they will play their next six games there before heading off to the MJHL Showcase.
