The Dauphin Rec Hockey League has joined up with the former Family Fun Hockey League to create a new junior rec league.

The league will feature four teams, and is aimed at 7 to 14-year-olds with two ice times a week, both feature a practice and game.

If there is enough interest expressed, a 14-18 age group will be added.

Registration will be the first week of August and cost is 250 dollars.

If anyone interested in helping with coaching or development of this program please call Roslyn at 204-648-7339.

Four Dauphin Clippers will be represented on each of the U-18 Women's ans U-16 Men's Teams.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have announced their latest inductee into the Ring of Honour at Investor's Group Field.

Gerry James was a kicker and running back for the Bombers, winning four Grey Cups in 1958, 1959, 1961, and 1962, in six Cup appearances.

James also played five seasons in the NHL for the Toronto Maple Leafs during the same period.

He is the only person to ever play in a Grey Cup and a Stanley Cup final in the same year, winning the 1959's CFL title, but failing to claim Lord Stanley's holy grail in the 1959-60 season.

He will be honoured prior to the Bombers game Thursday against Calgary. You can hear that game on 730 CKDM at 7:30.

You can also see the Grey Cup this Friday, along with former Bombers kicker Troy Westwood at the Dauphin Co-Op.

Registration is now open for the 2016-17 season.
