A number of high school teams are in action as teams take to the courts and fields this weekend.

In the Rural Manitoba Football League on Friday the Dauphin Clippers are taking on the Parkwest Outlaws. Swan Valley plays the Moosomin Generals, and the East Parkland Warriors grapple with the SouthWest Sabres. Outside the Parkland the Virden Bears host the Neepawa Tigers.

The Dauphin Clippers girls varsity volleyball team is attending the Plainsmen Top 8 Debate Tournament in Brandon today and tomorrow. They open the tournament against the Crocus Plainsmen Friday at 3:00. The Clippers also play round robin games later at 5:00, 7:00, and 9:00pm. 

Elsewhere in Parkland high school volleyball the Gilbert Plains Trojans varsity girls are hosting an invitational tournament Friday and Saturday. The tournament features a majority of Parkland teams including Gilbert Plains, Grandview, Swan Valley, Goose Lake High, Ste. Rose, and Ebb and Flow.

In November 20 different sports organization will receive $5000 from Canadian Dairy Farmers.

Leo Lewis will be added to the Bombers Ring of Honour at Investor's Group Field during Saturday's game against the Toronto Argonauts.

The inaugural competition will be held in Brandon this year, October 8th and 9th.

 

The Winnipegosis Skating Club will have registration for Can-Skate and Junior Starskate on September 26th at the Winnipegosis Arena from 7:00-8:00pm. 

This skating program is for skaters aged 4-18 and is a recognized member of Skate Canada. 

Skating Clubs offer skills that will last a lifetime and a chance to have fun, all while making new friends.

The Dauphin Kings were in Virden Saturday night in the MJHL preseason against the Oil Capitals. The Oil Capitals won 6-4.
