The Midget AAA Parkland Rangers headed to Portage this weekend to take part in the Manitoba Midget AAA Showcase, and they will return back home after losing one and winning one game.

Game One

In the first game, the Rangers took on one of the best teams in the league in the Winnipeg Bruins and pushed the Bruins, but ended up falling 5-2.

After 20, the two teams were tied 1-1, but the Bruins used a two-goal second and third period en route to the victory.

Vincent Hughes and Cole Haukaas scored the Rangers goals in the game.

Game Two

For the third time this season, the Rangers took on the Norman Northstars, and for the third time, the Rangers earned two points.

This time, the Rangers put up eight goals as they beat the Northstars, 8-5.

Jaeger Lapointe recorded his first hat-trick of the season, while Brayden Delvenne racked up two goals, and Tanyon Koshowski, Vincent Hughes, and Reece Hopfner each scored one goal in the game.

The Rangers are now 6-3, good for fourth in the league and they return to the ice on Wednesday evening as they head to Brandon to take on the Wheat Kings.
