After weeks of practicing, the Parkland Rangers are set to kick off their preseason schedule this evening, as they head to Yorkton to kick off a home and home series.

"We talked to Yorkton, and tonight's game will be a predominantly rookie game, but we will have a few veterans as well," said Brad Dupasquier, Head Coach of the team. "A lot of the players tonight haven't played against AAA midget competition, so there is definitely a level of excitement and anticipation."

Puck drop is set for 8:00 p.m. at the Yorkton Kinsmen Arena.

The teams will then return to Dauphin tomorrow, for a 7:30 p.m. puck drop at Credit Union Place.

"There are a lot of local players out there, so it's always great to come out and watch them," said Dupasquier. "Some of them almost cracked WHL rosters this year, so you're looking at a high calibre of hockey. The kids are really dedicated. It would be great if people came out to support."
