The Dauphin Brewers will enter their semifinal series against the Neepawa Cubs with all sorts of momentum after beating Plumas 20-10 in game three of their quarterfinal series, back on July 17.
The Brewers and Cubs met once in the regular season, with the Brewers coming out on top, 7-5.
"We're feeling good heading into the game tonight for sure after beating Plumas," said Wade Thiele, one of the Team Managers and Catcher.
Game one is set for tonight at 7:00 p.m. in Neepawa, and the Brewers will have a small roster for the game, but that doesn't mean they aren't excited.
"I'm thinking we'll be going in with a hungry nine players," said Thiele. "Our mindset is definitely trying to steal the first game so we can close it out at home on Friday."
Last year, the Brewers failed to make it to the second round after bowing out to Plumas in the quarterfinals, but they got their revenge this year.
"We didn't make it to the second round last year so it's nice to be there this year." said Thiele.
Game two will return to Dauphin on Friday evening with first pitch set for 7:00 p.m. at Brewer Diamond.
