The Gilbert Plains Golf Club is set to open up for the season on Thursday.
The golf season comes early this year due to favorable weather conditions.
Club General Manager Scott McCallum talks about the feeling of opening early.
"It's really exciting. To have the golf course in the shape we have it, I've been here for 9 years now, and this is the first time we've ever not had water from the river on the golf course, so the golf course is in fantastic shape, and we just need mother nature to warm up a bit and we'll have people golfing."
Green fees will be according to temperature of the course until the May long weekend.
