After ending a seven year playoff drought on Sunday, the Neepawa Natives wasted no time finding the back of the net against the top ranked Steinbach Pistons.

Braeden Binda scored three minutes into the first period, Reigan Buchanan netted a pair, as the Natives defeated the Pistons 4-1 on Friday night. 

Tyler Gutenberg made 32 saves in the win for Neepawa.

The Natives now lead the best of seven series 1-0. 

They'll host Steinbach for game two on Sunday.
