The Kings defeated the Terriers Wednesday night in Portage for their first road win of the season.
The Kings were out shot in the first period 13-4 and were down 1-0 heading into the first intermission.
Keaton Leininger responded for the Kings just 45 seconds into the second frame. After the goal he was hit violently into the boards by Chase Faulkner of the Terriers. No call was made on the late hit; however, Leininger stayed in the game.
Graeme Hore gave the Kings their first lead of the night halfway through the frame. Just over a minute later Ty Enns evened the score for the Terriers.
Former Terrier Ashton Clark capped a three goal second period for the Kings with a short-handed marker that just squeezed through goaltender Brock Aiken. The goal would stand as the game-winner.
The Kings began to dominate play in the third, holding the Terriers to five shots, while putting 16 of their own on Aiken.
Graeme Hore sealed the deal for the Kings scoring an insurance marker and his second of the night with 1:30 left in the game.
