The Dauphin Kings kept pace with the Virden Oil Capitals for 50 minutes on Thursday night, but in the last 10 minutes of the third period they surrendered three goals as the Oil Capitals broke away to win 6-3.

The Kings scored twice on the power play. Keaton Leininger, Riley Shamray, and Ashton Clark all scored for the Kings. 

The Virden Oil Capitals power play continues to be their bread and butter, scoring four goals on five power play opportunities.

The Kings losing skid is now at 11. The Kings will try again to break the skid on Saturday when they meet the Winnipeg Blues for the first time this season.
