The Birtle Falcons lead the Dauphin Clippers 3-1 in the third.
The Clippers answered back with two goals, including a short handed marker to tie 3-3.
The Falcons scored the go ahead goal with 1:44 left in the third, then an insurance goal 42 seconds later.
The two will meet again at Credit Union Place next Sunday at 2:30 when both open their Westman High School Hockey League seasons.
