The 2016 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge pre-tournament begins today in Sault Ste. Marie, ON. 

Grandview's Koby Morrisseau, Fowarren's Dawson Barteaux, and Yorkton's Brett Kemp are all in the Soo for the tournament, each on a different team Canada. Kemp will wear a black Team Canada jersey, Morrisseau landed on Team Canada White's roster, and Barteaux will play for Team Canada Red.

Pre-tournament play begins today with four games, the official tournament gets underway Sunday.

Morrisseau will get things started for Canada when Team White takes on Russia at 3:00pm. 

Later tonight at 6:30 both Team Canada Red, and Team Canada Black will take to the ice at once, though in different venues.

Team Black and Brett Kemp will play Sweden, while Dawson Barteaux will get to experience a highly-contested rivalry when Team Canada Red faces off with the United States.
