Brook is one of two Manitobans selected for the 22-man roster.

Hockey Canada invited 44-players to their under 18 Selection Camp which wrapped up Tuesday, 22 of those players were then selected to play for Team Canada at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup.

Roblin's Josh Brook was a late addition, filling in for an injured Jacob Paquette. He's one of seven defensemen who made the cut. The only other Manitoban on the team is Winnipeg's Stelio Mattheos, of the Brandon Wheat Kings.

Brook is a defenseman with the WHL's Moose Jaw Warriors, entering his NHL draft year.

The Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup tournament is held between Breclav, Czech Republic and Britislav, Slovakia. The tournament starts on Saturday with Team Canada playing an exhibition game against the Czechs.

The tournament starts with the preliminary round Monday with Canada playing Slovakia, and finished the following Saturday with the Gold medal game.
